This post is broken up into relatively small lines for easier reading.

I believe that we should make Skype conferences to make discussions easier for us to do challenges.

Although it is easier and more simple through words and real-time conversations, it is not necessary.

I will make myself Leader of the Skype Team(May think of a better title name later on), but it is just a title, no forms of power whatsoever.

As my first announcement(also an introduction), I believe we will make conferences at least once a week during the challenges. Weekends would be great, or sometimes weekdays if you guys are coincidentally vacant.

Like I said, it would be easier, but not necessary.

I will post my username(some of you have it) here, but I shall do it later, see if this catches on. Please address yourself over the friend request. For upgraded security, please PM me on the forums. I would not appreciate random people adding me.

If you join and you do not wish to reveal your voice(for certain reasons), it will not be a problem. Simply press the microphone button(on the Skype call GUI) to mute your microphone, and type away.

I'd say Skype Organizer, but whatever works.

I'd be willing to give it a try if enough of the others are as well. However if it were to be only two other people or so I don't think it'd be enough.

I think I'm willing to do that, but I'm not sure I can commit to meeting regularly due to connection issues; I'll have to check out whether it works for me at home properly.

Aristo makes a good point that I think I'll create a new thread to address.

It's alright. This isn't necessary.

It will revolve around people who have issues. Whether it's time, or connection, I'm sure we'll work it out. I'll try and make sure at least everyone has about 10 minutes minimum in a Skype conference. That way, we'll at least be able to update on stuff, and maybe do some challenges or just hang out.

Yeah, it's not at all a bad idea, it's just that my current home IP is sketchy. I've been meaning to see if it will do Skype, though, so I'll look into that.

Well, I know it's not quite the same, but I tried to stream a webinar today, and it was choppy to the point of incomprehensibility, and after about ten minutes of listening to snippets of audio and watching blurry pictures, Chrome crashed on me. Doesn't look good, but I'll try again. Also, on weekdays when I'm in the city, I usually spend some time at Starbucks enjoying a Frappuccino with a side of much higher bandwidth.

IM would not take as much bandwidth as a call. We can also get someone else to host. Feel free to ask anyone around. So far, I had the least lag and dropped calls, so I'll be a good host.

Yes. Sorry for bumping this thread, bu I honestly need everyone's opinions on the Skype team before we actually exchange our details.

I just got Skype reinstalled on my laptop. I'll check how well it's working and let you know.

EDIT: It seems to be fine for audio at least. I'll try video another time.

Video is not that important,since you can't have a video conference on Skype with more than 3 persons...

My skype account is easy enough to find. Seriously though, it really is just my username. I have no personal information there, so I'm fine with giving it out.

I have a skype account but being there at the right time to be part of a skype chat will be difficult for me. I can't gauruntee it would work well for me considering my time restraints
